If your city is not listed you can visit the US EPA website here, and look for your city’s specific water quality report.

Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Systems

By Phoenix Plumbing, Reverse Osmosis, reverse osmosis system, RO System No Comments

If you are interested in a new home water filtration system a reverse osmosis system should be on the top of your list. It is no secret that bottled water tastes better than tap water, the type of water most often used by bottled water companies is reverse osmosis water.

What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse osmosis (RO) is the process of removing impurities from water by passing it through a semi permeable membrane. The thin membrane screens out impurities and contaminants allowing only clean water to pass through, the impurities are then flushed down the drain.

Advantages of RO

-Removal of impurities
-Improves taste, odor, and appearance of water
-Environmentally friendly
-Consumes very little energy
-Very convenient and easy to clean
-Removal of dissolved minerals, metals and particles benefits the plumbing system
