Hardest Water in Arizona

As you can see in the map above, Arizona is known for having some of the hardest water in the country. Water hardness is measured in Grains Per Gallon (gpg). Water is considered hard when it measures 14.6 gpg.

Here is a list of some Arizona cities and their varying levels of hardness:

Tempe – 8 – 23 gpg
Yuma – 10 – 22 gpg

What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse osmosis (RO) is the process of removing impurities from water by passing it through a semi permeable membrane. The thin membrane screens out impurities and contaminants allowing only clean water to pass through, the impurities are then flushed down the drain.
